Brendale has a new destination for camping, fishing, and outdoor enthusiasts, with Anaconda Adventure HQ now open at the new retail precinct on South Pine Road.

The purpose-built 6000-square-metre store combines outdoor equipment with a range of interactive displays based around camping, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities. The concept is designed around Anaconda’s “try-before-you-buy” approach, allowing visitors to test products and explore different outdoor experiences inside the store.
Snow, fishing, and camping experiences under one roof
One of the store’s features is a snow cave, where visitors can enter a sub-zero alpine environment with falling snow. Temperatures can reach as low as -10 degrees Celsius, allowing customers to test snow and rainwear in sub-zero conditions.
Anglers have several features to explore inside the store. A 40-foot casting tank stocked with live barramundi forms part of the fishing experience. Anaconda team members can demonstrate different lures and retrieval techniques, with the tank allowing visitors to see how fish respond to lure movement.
There is also an interactive fishing simulator, giving customers another way to test their techniques indoors. The store also features an Australian campground display with a six-metre gum tree, native wildlife, bush sounds and campsites. Visitors can step inside tents, compare different setups and explore the camping display.
An indoor marina is another feature of the store. It includes fully rigged boat, motor and trailer packages and sits alongside a recycled Queensland jetty. The setup allows visitors to compare different boating options and visualise life on the water.
Equipment for outdoor adventures
Alongside its interactive displays, Anaconda’s Brendale store stocks equipment covering a broad range of outdoor activities. The company’s local store information lists camping and hiking equipment including tents, sleeping bags, camping chairs, outdoor furniture, hiking packs, first aid kits and walking poles.
Fishing products include rods, reels, fishing combos, tackle and other accessories. Water sports equipment includes kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets and snorkelling gear. There is also equipment for four-wheel-driving and caravanning, including roof racks, lighting, navigation products and portable power equipment.
According to Anaconda, the Brendale site is its 98th property. The company has also said it will continue rolling out its traditional stores alongside the newer Adventure HQ format. The Brendale store has created more than 50 local jobs, while the company says its wider business employs about 3100 people.
The new store combines conventional outdoor retail with interactive displays and experiences. Alongside its retail ranges, visitors can explore displays built around camping, fishing, boating and other outdoor activities.

The store is open seven days a week. Anaconda’s current store listing gives the Brendale outlet as opening at 8.30am on weekdays and Saturday, with Sunday opening at 9am. Thursday has extended trading until 9pm.
