Brendale is gaining new retail options, with a new precinct on South Pine Road bringing several major retailers into the area.

Spotlight and Harris Scarfe are now trading at the site on the corner of South Pine Road and Old North Road, while Anaconda Adventure HQ is scheduled to open in September. A gym and cafe are also planned for the precinct.
A new retail mix takes shape
The precinct brings together retailers covering different shopping needs, from homewares and craft supplies to outdoor equipment. Spotlight’s new Brendale store covers 3200 square metres and offers products for the home, sewing, crafting, kitchen and bathroom.
Its range includes bedding, bed linen, pillows, towels, bathroom storage, laundry products, cookware, kitchen tools, tableware and drinkware. Craft shoppers can also browse fabrics, haberdashery, sewing supplies and materials for quilting, painting and papercraft. The store has created 60 new jobs as part of its opening.
Harris Scarfe adds another option
Harris Scarfe has also opened at the precinct, adding another national retailer to the new retail mix. Its arrival gives the site another major retail offering alongside Spotlight, ahead of Anaconda Adventure HQ’s planned opening.
With the two stores now operating, the precinct has two major retailers trading ahead of its next scheduled opening. Anaconda Adventure HQ is scheduled to open on September 5, adding outdoor equipment to the retail offering at the site. The new outlet is set to be the largest in the Anaconda chain and will include several interactive features.
Shoppers will find outdoor equipment and boats, while the store is also planned to include a 40-foot lure-casting tank and fishing simulator. A cold room is also planned so customers can test outdoor and ski jackets. The opening will add another retail category to the home, craft and other products already available at the precinct.

More services planned for the precinct
The retail development is also expected to include a gym and cafe, extending the mix beyond shops. The project includes 450 parking spaces. The new precinct adds a broader mix of retailers to the South Pine Road area, with several major operators establishing themselves at the same site.
As more parts of the precinct come into operation, the mix of homewares, craft supplies, outdoor equipment and planned services will broaden the range of businesses at the site.
