ACE have growing confidence and belief, says returning Josh Hall
JOSH Hall is expected back in the senior squad on Saturday as ACE look to scale new heights.
Victory or a draw against Capalaba at Wolter Park (kick-off 4.45pm) would take ACE to the top of the Flight Centre Premier League.
As the first match of Round 8, it may only be for a few hours, but that would still be reward for good start and “belief” in the ACE camp. “The squad’s really come together and there’s a belief,” said midfielder Hall, “Pouria is a great motivator and players like Royce (Brownlie) make you believe during games.
“Royce has been there, done it, knows the situations. He makes sure heads don’t drop like against Logan when we conceded two goals in a few minutes.
“He makes you believe, handle the pressure and fight back. He helps players in training and I still can’t believe those

ALL teams are to be informed that our fields have been closed so that council can oversow (seed with Rye Grass) the fields to ensure that we have good quality fields for the entire season.
I have managed to keep all teams training U12 and up over the holidays. There is some squeezing in, but most teams should have enough space. If you are allocated a space and the other teams do not show then please be sensible with how you spread out and share the fields appropriately at this time. General rule is that the older teams will take more space if available as first priority.
ALL U6-U11 Training cancelled over holidays, but if teams want to train they can do so BEFORE 5.30pm. They must be off the fields by 5.30pm. Coaches/Managers to organise with individual teams and

Help us in six-point showdown at Wolter Park, says ‘keeper
GOALKEEPER Behzad Ariayee Ravesh has made a rallying call to ACE fans ahead of tomorrow’s (Friday) “six-pointer” at Wolter Park
Logan Lightning are the visitors, kick-off 8.30pm, with ACE one of the top four Premier League teams, level on 10 points behind Holland Park, Lions and Mitchelton.
ACE also have the league’s best defensive record, with Holland Park and Easts, having conceded just six goals entering tomorrow’s clash with seventh-placed Logan.
“We have a really important game against Logan,” said Behzad, “not just a three-point game, a six-point game – come and support us.
“At Wolter Park we do not feel alone. This season we are not alone. As goalkeeper between the posts I feel the support. I want to say thanks to the supporters and I ask please come and support us.
“Last season we had two games against Logan and got one point. It is

ACE points 'present'
Pouria dedicates victory to ACE volunteer Scott
ACE coach Pouria Nabi has “presented” the seniors points from Sunday’s 2-1 derby victory over Grange to one of the club’s unsung heroes.
Pouria said he was indebted to the work of the club’s volunteers and – on this occasion – dedicated the weekend three points win to purchasing officer Scott Walker.
“In the last three weeks so many things have been asked of Scott,” said Pouria. “He has raced around getting kit for us, right down to the socks, going down to Rochedale, in his own time. We really appreciate everything he has done.
“He’s a volunteer, like many people who do so much for ACE. We’d like to pass on the points from Sunday, present them to Scott to say thank you.”
Pouria and the ACE senior squads have spent little time dwelling on the maximum haul from three Flight Centre Premier League wins over Grange.

Player will be divided into multiple groups by the technical staff, with one group starting at 5.00pm and the second group at 6.00pm. ACE on learning curve
New season, new challenge for one of ACE’s most successful squads
THE age groups have gone. Pre-season is finished. Now open competition and a steep learning curve await one of ACE’s most successful teams.
Holland Park are the first opponents for the new ACE City 1 women’s squad, on Friday at Brendale, kick-off 7.50pm.
All but four are from the girls’ squad which finished second in last season’s Under 16 Division 1 and won the grand final. The team has taken a big step up, but the signs are encouraging.
ACE, with two new players in their 20s and one aged 18, have beaten Annerley 4-1, lost to Pine Rivers 4-2 and drawn 4-4 with The Gap’s BWPL Reserves side in pre-season.
“It is going to be a big leap, a learning curve for the young players,” said coach Matt van Daarlen. “It will be a lot more physical and faster for them – 16s
