ACE coach Pouria Nabi sees tomorrow’s Canale Cup clash at Peninsula Power is a “massive chance to get to the final”.
The regional derby semi-final follows an impressive display by Pouria’s men in their 5-1 thumping of Souths, in the final round of the Brisbane Premier League.
ACE hit top form on Saturday creating dozens of chances and could have doubled their score, according to Pouria.
“The boys’ work rate was fantastic. That was the key,” said Pouria, “their performance was fantastic. I could not have expected any more.
“It could have been 11-1, 12-2, 13-2. We created so many chances.
“It was a great result in one game, but perhaps the worst ever win, leaving us two goals short of the finals. It’s hard to take.
“I love ACE and wanted the finals to be a present to the club.”
