ACE out to prove their pedigree, says Chom
ACE striker Chom Arop says tomorrow’s Westfield FFA Cup clash with Moreton Bay United is “more than just a game”.
History will be made at Wolter Park, kick-off 7.30pm, when Flight Centre Premier League ACE face Jets for the first time in competition.
Each side has players who have worn the colours of both clubs – including Chom Arop (ACE) and Riley Campbell (Jets), who were team-mates last year
But tomorrow there will be no favours in the battle for a place in the next round.
“It’s more than just a game,” said Arop, “we’re looking to show how good we are.
“I think friendships have to be pushed to the side for this game. Afterwards we’ll be friends, but during the game they are just another opponent.”
